I am off to the Caribbean for  few days with my wife…here are a few pointers on taking the stress out of vacations and recreating the honeymoon you once had.

1. Offer to help with EVERYTHING! Most women spend a huge amount of time arranging sitters, homework, cleaning the house, etc. The more you do, the easier it is for her, and less stress on her will get her juices flowing.

2. Take her shopping BEFORE The trip. Not only will you save a little money, but you’ll get her in the mood for a fun weekend (or week).

3. Prepare for coming home! I know it sounds silly, but you will want to capture the mood and relaxation of your vacation with some key foods, events, memories, momentos, etc.  You will use these icons to restimulate her after the vacation is over. Plan ahead and create some exciting memories.

4. Don’t stress on any changes or inconveniences. You will have airport delays, or slow service somewhere. Take it all in stride! Show her what a cool customer you are by being a memorable guest regardless of the bumps in the road. By laughing off an airline delay or a long line at the counter, she will see you as not only a leader, but a true man. One that she will faun over for years!
